The reigning\u00a0Best New Female Artist<\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a045th Tejano Music Awards<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0has officially premiered the music video for\u00a0\u201cVen, Ven, Ven,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0the lead single from her upcoming sophomore album and the follow-up to her award-winning debut\u00a0Mujer Sensual<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The new release marks more than just a new song\u2014it\u2019s a statement. In a recent interview with\u00a0Tejano Nation Radio<\/a><\/em> <\/strong>host Romeo<\/a><\/strong>, Jenny B opened up about her evolving sound, her vision for the future of Tejano music, and the inspiration behind a project she says is all about growth, color, and fearless creativity.<\/p>\n \u201cThis single is really going to be a kickoff to an upcoming project,\u201d Jenny B shared. \u201cI\u2019m going to be releasing my next album, hopefully in April. My last project,\u00a0Mujer Sensual<\/em>, was very much my introduction as a Tejano artist. This next time around, it\u2019s really just bringing in that new generation of Tejano.\u201d<\/p>\n While her debut leaned heavily into traditional roots, Jenny B says her new album pushes boundaries\u2014intentionally.<\/p>\n \u201cI respect keeping Tejano the way it is 110 percent,\u201d she explained. \u201cBut I also feel like that\u2019s what\u2019s keeping new people away because it feels outdated. I want to bring some fun, some color, some sexiness\u2014something fresh. Something TikTok-friendly. The goal is to keep Tejano alive.\u201d<\/p>\n At the heart of this evolution is her rebranding as\u00a0\u201cLa Tejana Barbie,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0a persona that celebrates confidence, individuality, and empowerment\u2014especially for women.<\/p>\n \u201cAnybody can be a Tejana Barbie,\u201d she said. \u201cYou don\u2019t need to be cookie-cutter. If you\u2019re from Texas, you work hard, love your family, and you\u2019re a strong woman who still looks amazing\u2014you\u2019re a Tejana Barbie. Another word for baddie.\u201d<\/p>\n Musically, \u201cVen, Ven, Ven\u201d blends modern pop, R&B, and hip-hop influences with Tejano and cumbia foundations. The track was produced by\u00a0Clef God<\/a><\/strong>, whom Jenny B credits for seamlessly fusing worlds.<\/p>\n \u201cHe comes from the English pop, R&B, hip-hop side, and me coming from where I\u2019m coming from, the way he meshed them together was amazing,\u201d she said. \u201cHeavy bass, even the bass guitar\u2014it just blended so well.\u201d<\/p>\n The song also has a personal touch. It was co-written by her husband and her father, keeping the creative process close to home.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s nothing super crazy lyrically,\u201d she admitted. \u201cIt\u2019s just a fun song. The song didn\u2019t call for big lyrics\u2014we just want to get people on the dance floor.\u201d<\/p>\n That energy translates directly into the music video. Rather than a standard club setting, Jenny B envisioned something playful and empowering.<\/p>\n \u201cI wanted it to feel like Jenny B has this spell on this guy,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s sexy, fresh, colorful, young. Women of all sizes and colors. To me, Tejano has always kind of lacked color and excitement\u2014and these are conversations we need to have.\u201d<\/p>\n \n
