\n\tHayley Williams has launched<\/a> her new band Power Snatch with the surprise release of \u201cEP1\u201d via Bandcamp<\/a> and Untitled.<\/p>\n \n\tThe Paramore frontwoman unveiled the project last week while hosting a show on Apple Music alongside her Power Snatch band member Daniel James, who previously worked as a producer on her third solo album \u201cEgo Death at the Bachelorette Party.\u201d The duo quietly uploaded Power Snatch\u2019s first single \u201cDMs\u201d on Bandcamp in December, and teased the new single \u201cAssignment\u201d on Apple Music. \u201cEP1\u201d features \u201cDMs,\u201d \u201cDuh\u201d and \u201cHole in the Ceiling.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tPower Snatch released \u201cEP1\u201d on the heels of last night\u2019s Grammy Awards, where \u201cEgo Death\u201d was nominated in four categories including best alternative music album and best rock song for \u201cGlum.\u201d After losing in her respective categories, Williams\u2019 official Instagram HQ account posted a photo with the caption, \u201cWe\u2019d like to thank the academy. (And it\u2019s an honor to lose to The Cure anytime \ud83d\udc9b).\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tMuch like with Power Snatch, Williams put out \u201cEgo Death\u201d in an unconventional way, surprise-releasing 17 songs on her website last July and taking them down a little more than 24 hours later. She had given fans an access code as part of a new drop from her Good Dye Young hair dye company.<\/p>\n \n\tFollowing the songs\u2019 removal, Williams officially released the album on digital as standalone tracks, encouraging fans to sequence the project as they best saw fit.
