\n\tRachel Brosnahan<\/a> is making her comic book movie debut as Lois Lane in James Gunn\u2019s \u201cSuperman<\/a>\u201d this summer, and it\u2019s an experience she does not plan on criticizing no matter how successful the movie ends up being. Speaking to Amanda Seyfried for Interview magazine,<\/a> Brosnahan called out actors who star in superhero tentpoles only to bash them later on when they don\u2019t turn out as planned.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI don\u2019t know why people say yes [to a project] only to then turn around and complain about it,\u201d Brosnahan said. \u201cLook, I don\u2019t want to shit on other actors, but there was a minute where it was cool to not like superhero movies and to look back on projects like this and pooh-pooh them. Do it or don\u2019t do it, and then stand by it.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBrosnahan did not call out any actors by name, but several comic book movie stars have openly distanced themselves from their tentpoles over the last few years. Just recently, Dakota Johnson reacted <\/a>to \u201cMadame Web\u201d flopping by saying \u201cit wasn\u2019t my fault.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThere\u2019s this thing that happens now where a lot of creative decisions are made by committee. Or made by people who don\u2019t have a creative bone in their body. And it\u2019s really hard to make art that way,\u201d Johnson told the Los Angeles Times<\/a>. \u201cOr to make something entertaining that way. And I think unfortunately with \u2018Madame Web,\u2019 it started out as something and turned into something else. And I was just sort of along for the ride at that point. But that happens. Bigger-budget movies fail all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tChris Hemsworth said to\u00a0GQ<\/a>\u00a0after \u201cThor: Love and Thunder\u201d flopped with critics that it was just \u201ctoo silly\u201d for its own good. He then told\u00a0Vanity Fair<\/a> last year: \u201cI got caught up in the improv and the wackiness, and I became a parody of myself. I didn\u2019t stick the landing.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBrosnahan joins the likes of Margot Kidder and Amy Adams in portraying the intrepid journalist Lois Lane on the big screen. Gunn\u2019s \u201cSuperman\u201d features David Corenswet in the title role and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. The trio is hoping to have a long future with these characters as \u201cSuperman\u201d is just the beginning of Gunn\u2019s rebooted DC Universe.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cYeah, I\u2019d come back,\u201d Brosnahan told Seyfried about doing a \u201cSuperman\u201d sequel. \u201cWe had a great time.
