Joy Behar<\/a> returned after a week-long absence from the cohosting lineup on The View<\/a><\/i>\u2018s Tuesday (February 3) episode.<\/p>\n The series original was missing from last week\u2019s shows due to what cohost Whoopi Goldberg<\/a> said was an illness, but Behar did not directly address her absence during the show, which was a full \u201cHot Topics\u201d day\u2026 apart from also being a baby shower for Alyssa Farah Griffin<\/a>.<\/p>\n Behar, 83, was also not present for Monday\u2019s show, but that is typical, given her usual Tuesday through Friday schedule.<\/p>\n While Behar didn\u2019t touch on what the exact ailment that kept her out of commission last week was, she did have a personal anecdote to share when it came to her name, after learning that someone in the live audience was giving their soon-to-be-born child \u201cJoy\u201d as a middle name.<\/p>\n \u201cMy real name is Josephine Victoria, but my grandfather called me \u2018Joy,\u2019 my Italian grandfather. He\u2019d say, \u2018Joya mia.\u2019 So from infancy, I was always known as Joy,\u201d she remembered.<\/p>\n She also had a word of caution about choosing Joy as a child\u2019s name, saying, \u201cYou have to know that \u2018Joy\u2019 is a noun, so it always comes up in Christmas and all sorts of ways. Just remember that.\u201d When asked by her cohosts if that was \u201cannoying\u201d to her, she admitted, \u201cWell, it\u2019s a little\u2026 it\u2019s confusing.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWhen they sing \u2018Joy to the World,\u2019 do you think it\u2019s about you?\u201d Sara Haines<\/a> asked.<\/p>\n \u201cI do,\u201d Behar confirmed, earning laughs from the panelists.<\/p>\n
