DaDa\u00a0has announced a new chapter in its work with young disabled musicians, having secured significant funding from\u00a0Youth Music Trailblazer\u00a0and the\u00a0PH Holt Foundation\u00a0to deliver an\u00a0ensemble project across the Liverpool City Region throughout 2026. <\/strong><\/p>\n Designed to create\u00a0an inclusive\u00a0music-making\u00a0programme, the\u00a0ensemble project\u00a0offers young disabled people the chance to develop their artistry, build confidence and be part of a professionally supported creative community and\u00a0DaDa\u00a0is now inviting the next generation of musicians to\u00a0join.\u00a0<\/p>\n Delivered with specialist partners, the project responds directly to the lack of regular, accessible music provision for disabled young people locally. Through inclusive ensemble sessions, mentoring and performance opportunities, participants will be supported to explore their creativity and\u00a0demonstrate\u00a0what is possible when talent is nurtured in an environment built around access and ambition.\u00a0<\/p>\n The ensemble project builds on over a decade of successful delivery by\u00a0DaDa, which has supported the development of artists including\u00a0Joshua Henderson, who released his debut album\u00a0Songs for Liverpool with Friends\u00a0in June 2024. The album\u2019s success saw it stocked by HMV Liverpool\u00a0last year, highlighting the progression\u00a0that can\u00a0emerge\u00a0from inclusive music\u00a0programmes.\u00a0<\/p>\n Throughout the project,\u00a0DaDa\u00a0and specialist music practitioners will work with\u00a0young disabled people aged 14\u201325 from across the Liverpool City Region, supporting them to refine their skills, collaborate with peers and grow as artists.
