Just weeks later, a different officer shot and killed another Minnesotan, Alex Pretti; in both instances, the president and other federal government leaders maintained that the officers were acting in self-defense, but video footage captured by eyewitnesses has many Americans convinced otherwise. In response, fans have seen the biggest wave yet of famous artists publicly condemning ICE, whether through posts on social media or by wearing \u201cICE Out\u201d buttons <\/a>on the Grammys red carpet in February. (Also at the award show, a number of winners used their acceptance speeches<\/a> as opportunities to admonish the agency\u2019s actions<\/a>, including album of the year victor Bad Bunny and song of the year winner Billie Eilish.)<\/p>\n \n\tBut even before 2026, some stars were already slamming ICE \u2014 especially after officers raided numerous immigrant communities in the Los Angeles area in June during Trump\u2019s first year back in office. Everyone from Olivia Rodrigo to Tyler, the Creator condemned ICE over the summer, and continued speaking out against the DHS branch in the months that followed.<\/p>\n \n\tAs ICE continues to polarize the country by carrying out Trump\u2019s campaign promise of mass deportations, Billboard is keeping track of all the musicians who are speaking out in protest. See which stars have addressed the subject below, listed in alphabetical order. <\/p>\n \n\tFor a while, the only time Bad Bunny addressed ICE was in a 2025 interview with i-D while explaining his choice not to tour in the United States. \u201cThere was the issue of, like, f\u2013king ICE could be outside [my concert],\u201d he said at the time<\/a>. \u201cAnd it\u2019s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBut at the 2026 Grammys, Benito made his stance loud and clear<\/a> while accepting best m\u00fasica urbana album for Deb\u00ed Tirar M\u00e1s Fotos. \u201cBefore I say thanks to God, I\u2019m gonna say ICE out!\u201d he declared, earning loud applause. \u201cWe\u2019re not savages, we\u2019re not animals, we are not aliens, we are humans and we are Americans. I know it\u2019s tough not to hate on these days and I was thinking sometime we get contaminados [contaminated]. The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n \t\t\t \n\tDespite the DHS slamming her \u201cgarbage rhetoric\u201d in a statement to Billboard<\/a> in January 2026, Billie Eilish hasn\u2019t backed down from condemning ICE. Later that month, the singer implored her \u201cfellow celebrities\u201d to join her in speaking out about ICE \u2014 specifically its actions in Minneapolis \u2014 and in early February, she wore an \u201cICE Out\u201d pin to the Grammys, where she said <\/a>during her song of the year acceptance speech for \u201cWildflower\u201d: \u201cNo one is illegal on stolen land\u2026 f\u2013k ICE.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tShe also blasted ICE<\/a> while accepting the MLK Jr. Environmental Justice Award on Jan. 17. \u201cWe\u2019re seeing our neighbors being kidnapped, peaceful protesters being assaulted and murdered, our civil rights being stripped,\u201d she said at the time. \u201cIt is very clear that protecting our planet and our communities is not a priority for this administration. And it\u2019s really hard to celebrate that when we no longer feel safe in our own homes or in our streets.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n \n\tAfter years of being one of music\u2019s most outspoken artists against Trump, Springsteen put his anger toward the president\u2019s administration and ICE in a song titled \u201cStreets of Minneapolis\u201d released in late January 2026. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cNow they say they\u2019re here to uphold the law\/ But they trample on our rights\/ If your skin is black or brown, my friend\/ You can be questioned or deported on sight,\u201d he sings on the anthem<\/a>. \u201cIn our chants of \u2018ICE out now\u2019\/ Our city\u2019s heart and soul persists\/ Through broken glass and bloody tears\/ On the streets of Minneapolis.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n \n\t\u201cF\u2014k ICE forever,\u201d Chappell Roan cheered at her concert in Pasadena, Calif., in October, prompting her audience to chant it back.<\/p>\n \n\tIn a statement shared with TMZ, DHS assistant secretary Tricia McLaughlin fired back<\/a>, \u201c\u2018Pink Pony Club\u2019 is good. Pedophiles are bad. That\u2019s who we\u2019re getting off of our streets. Get a grip.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n \n\tBefore playing \u201cHoliday\u201d at a January 2026 Green Day concert<\/a>, frontman Billie Joe Armstrong explained, \u201cthis song is anti-fascist. This song is anti-war. We stand up for our brothers and sisters in Minnesota.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tHe\u2019d previously shown support<\/a> to immigrants and anti-ICE protestors in June 2025 during the ICE raids in L.A.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n \t\t\t \n\tJustin and his wife, Rhode founder Hailey Bieber, were among the stars who wore \u201cICE Out\u201d pins at the 2026 Grammys. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n \t\t\t \n\tIn November 2025, Kehlani accused<\/a> ICE of \u201ckidnapping [people] out of schools and jobs and homes and churches \u2026 kidnapping American citizens as well,\u201d a sentiment she echoed while accepting the 2026 Grammy for best R&B performance.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cTogether, we\u2019re stronger in numbers to speak against all the injustice going on in the world right now,\u201d she said<\/a> at the ceremony. \u201cI\u2019ma leave this and say: \u2018F\u2013k ICE.’\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n \n\tEven though she was on the other side of the world when the violence in Minneapolis reached a fever pitch, Lady Gaga made sure to make her support of the city\u2019s residents known during her Mayhem Ball concert in Tokyo.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cIn a couple of days, I\u2019m gonna be heading home, and my heart is aching thinking about the people, the children, the families, all over America, who are being mercilessly targeted by ICE,\u201d she said on stage<\/a> on Jan. 29. \u201cI\u2019m thinking about all of their pain and how their lives are being destroyed right in front of us.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWhen entire communities lose their sense of safety and belonging, it breaks something in all of us,\u201d she added. \u201cI hope our leaders are listening. I hope you\u2019re listening to us asking you to change your course of action swiftly and have mercy on everyone in our country.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n \n\tAfter the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, Lizzo shared a video <\/a>of ways to help the community in Minnesota. \u201cMy heart goes out to Minneapolis,\u201d she said in the clip, tearing up. \u201cIn the years that I lived there, whether it was Philando Castile, whether it was Jamar Clark, whether it was George Floyd, this seems to happen \u2014 the injustice happens there. Got to.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n \n\tWhen the DHS used her song<\/a> \u201cJuno\u201d in a video promoting ICE\u2019s deportations in December 2025, Sabrina Carpenter hit back, \u201cthis video is evil and disgusting.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cDo not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda,\u201d she added at the time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n \n\tAfter picking up a pair of new Grammys, SZA shared her thoughts<\/a> on ICE while addressing ICE outside of the 2026 ceremony.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cIt\u2019s incredibly dystopian that we\u2019re dressed up and able to celebrate accolades in the material world, and people are getting snatched up and shot in the face on the street,\u201d she said at the event. \u201cIt just feels bizarre, and I find so many of us don\u2019t really know how to feel right now besides rage and hopelessness, and I don\u2019t feel like that\u2019s the calling card that I want to subscribe to \u2026 I believe that this is a time when we can dig deep as a community and really learn that okay, it\u2019s not time to count on anyone else but us and our neighbors to protect ourselves; to rally for each other, to be that morale booster, to disseminate mutual aid, to take care of each other.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tShe added: \u201cIt\u2019s always f\u2013k ICE.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n \n\tTom Morello is well-known for speaking out against the establishment, and ICE is no exception. In response to ICE\u2019s actions in the first month of 2026, the Rage Against the Machine guitarist organized a Concert Of Resistance & Solidarity to Defend Minnesota to take place right in the heart of the chaos, writing on Instagram when he first announced the show<\/a>, \u201cWe are coming to Minneapolis, where the people have heroically stood up against ICE, stood up against Trump, stood up against this terrible rising tide of state terror.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n \n\tAmid ICE\u2019s L.A. raids in summer 2025, Tyler, the Creator wrote \u201cF\u2013K ICE\u201d on his Instagram Story and posted a scene<\/a> from 2002\u2019s Paid in Full, in which the same phrase is repeated multiple times.<\/p>\n
