Gore Place<\/a> in Waltham announces that it plans musical events for two upcoming Sunday afternoons.<\/p>\n\n

The events will take place on Feb. 22 and March 1 at the historic site’s restored 1793 Carriage House<\/a>, according to a public announcement. Tea and biscuits served at 2:30 p.m., followed by music at 3 p.m.<\/p>\n

On Feb. 22, The Ruth and Ben String Band will perform. Led by guitarist Ruth Rappaport and fiddler Ben Wetherbee, the band features a mix of old-time fiddle tunes and songs with tight harmony singing, according to the announcement. Joel Wennerstrom and Gian Criscitiello also perform in the group.<\/p>\n

On March 1, Mrs. Wilberforce will take the stage, according to the announcement. That duo includes Kyra Davies (fiddle and viola) and Sean Smith (guitar and bouzouki and tenor banjo). They will play music from Ireland, Scotland, Cape Breton and other regions.<\/p>\n

Admission to each concert is $21 for non-members, $19 for members and $5 for Card to Culture. Tickets can be purchased at goreplace.org<\/a>, according to the announcement.<\/p>\n\n
