Gals’ night on Friday<\/h3>\n

The Krewe of Artemis, founded in 2001 and the first and only all-female parading krewe in Baton Rouge, will roll at 7 p.m. downtown. Featuring New Orleans-style floats and themed throws, including the Krewe of Artemis\u2019 signature high-heeled shoe, footballs and light-up tambourines.\u00a0kreweofartemis.net<\/a><\/p>\n

Triple play on Saturday<\/h3>\n

Le Krewe Mystique de la Capitale, one of the longest-running parades in Baton Rouge, starts things off at 2 p.m. downtown. The Krewe of Ascension Mambo also rolls at 2 p.m. in Gonzales. Topping off the evening is the Krewe of Orion at 6:30 p.m., also in downtown Baton Rouge.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

With a furry, friendly rodent as a mascot, the Krewe of Mid City Gras, one of Baton Rouge’s newer parades, makes its way along North Boulevard starting at 2 p.m. The nonprofit overseeing the parade says it’s “committed to showcasing our vibrant and diverse community.”\u00a0www.midcitygras.org\/contact<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
