Zayn Malik<\/a> has today (February 4) unveiled details of his new studio album \u2018Konnakol\u2019 \u2013 check out all the details below.<\/p>\n The album, the artist\u2019s fifth, will be released on April 17 via Mercury Records\/Island Records UK and can be pre-ordered here<\/a>. The album\u2019s lead record, \u2018Die For Me\u2019 will arrive this Friday (February 6).<\/p>\n Malik also debuted some unreleased material at his recent Las Vegas run of shows, including new song, \u2018Die For Me\u2019<\/a>. He also debuted four other unheard songs in the form of \u2018Nusrat\u2019, \u2018Used To The Blues\u2019, \u2018Fatal\u2019 and \u2018Take Turns\u2019 at the gigs.<\/p>\n Throughout the residency, fans could take part in a \u2018Z5\u2019 listening booth experience where they could hear snippets of his new material.<\/p>\n Speaking about the new album, the musician said: \u201c<\/i>It\u2019s that time again, I have been lucky enough to make a fifth studio album\u2026\u2018Konnakol\u2019 in its definition is the act of creating percussive sounds with one\u2019s voice but what it means to me lies somewhere much deeper.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIt is a sound that holds the reverberation of a time before words existed. I have always drawn on my heritage for inspiration since I first started making my own music \u2013 this album is a development of that understanding, knowing more now than ever, who I am, where I come from and where I intend to go.\u201d<\/p>\n The new album is described in a press statement as a \u201cpop-forward\u201d album and the musician\u2019s \u201cmost culturally inspired project to date.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n It continued: \u201cThe snow leopard, a profound symbol in South Asia, on the album art showcases how deeply his heritage has inspired the record.\u201d<\/p>\n The snow leopard imagery first appeared at Malik\u2019s recent Las Vegas residency, with some fans correctly suspecting it could be an Easter egg that hinted at more new work to come.\u00a0<\/p>\n Malik released his fourth solo album, \u2018Room Under The Stairs\u2019<\/a>, in 2024. Upon announcing his run of Vegas shows, a press release promised a \u201cmassive year\u201d ahead for the singer<\/a>in 2026.<\/p>\n His preview of new music comes on the heels of his former 1D bandmate Harry Styles announcing his fourth solo record, \u2018Kiss All The Time. The project is due for release on March 6.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, ut was at one of Malik\u2019s recent shows that he seemingly took a swipe at\u00a0Styles<\/a> by making a comment about ticket prices. <\/a>During a show last week (Wednesday January 28), Malik appeared to subtly make a dig at his former One Direction<\/a> bandmate Styles.<\/p>\n \u201cWho\u2019s from Vegas? Who\u2019s from elsewhere?\u201d he asked the crowd. \u201cI just want to say a big, big thank you to each and every single one of you for being here with me tonight. You could\u2019ve been anywhere, [but] you decided to spend your night with me.\u201d<\/p>\n Malik then added a lighthearted remark about how much money fans had spent to attend the concert. \u201cHopefully the ticket prices weren\u2019t too high \u2013 just saying!\u201d he grinned, before shrugging. \u201cAnyway!\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n Many fans have interpreted the comment as a nod to the conversations around the ticket prices for Styles\u2019 upcoming shows at Wembley Stadium<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Styles, meanwhile, smashed the record for the most performances by any act in a single year at London\u2019s Wembley Stadium<\/a> \u2013 eclipsing Coldplay\u2019s 10-night stint<\/a> last summer. He\u2019ll play 12 concerts at the venue as part of his global \u2018Together, Together\u2019 tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n The pop star will also break the record at Wembley for most gigs performed by a solo artist during a single tour, surpassing the eight nights set by Taylor Swift in 2024<\/a>. \u201cWe are incredibly proud to welcome Harry Styles back to Wembley Stadium for what will be a truly historic run of shows.
