The actor-comedian shared the news with \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KtJp-4wgXLs\" target=\"_blank\">Good Morning America<\/a>\u201d anchor Robin Roberts, a breast cancer survivor. <\/p>\n<p>Beloved for his portrayal of Uncle Joey in \u201cFull House,\u201d Coulier was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/tv\/story\/2024-11-13\/dave-coulier-cancer-non-hodgkins-lymphoma-stage-3-full-house\">in 2024 <\/a>and diagnosed in December with a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/story\/2025-12-02\/dave-coulier-tongue-cancer-lymphoma-full-house\">form of tongue cancer.<\/a> \u201cI\u2019m in remission with both cancers,\u201d he said Wednesday, \u201cand what a journey this has been.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Coulier, 66, first revealed his cancer battle in November 2024, telling <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/dave-coulier-non-hodgkin-lymphoma-exclusive-8743523\" target=\"_blank\">People<\/a> and NBC\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.today.com\/health\/news\/dave-coulier-non-hodgkin-lymphoma-cancer-rcna179584\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cToday\u201d <\/a>that his lymphoma diagnosis came after he contracted an upper respiratory infection that caused major swelling in his lymph nodes. He said at the time that his diagnosis with the blood cancer \u201cwas pretty overwhelming.\u201d Coulier announced in late March that he had completed his final round of chemotherapy for that cancer. <\/p>\n<p>Months later, in December, Coulier returned to \u201cToday\u201d  to share he had been diagnosed with \u201cP16 squamous carcinoma at the base of [his] tongue.\u201d He said he learned of the cancer during a check-up and that the two cancers are \u201ctotally unrelated.\u201d At the time, he told  anchor Craig Melvin he needed to undergo 35 rounds of radiation treatment for tongue cancer and intended to complete treatment by the end of the year. <\/p>\n<p>During Wednesday\u2019s segment, Coulier emphasized the importance of early detection and the toll his radiation treatments took. \u201cIt can steal part of your life away from you \u2014 psychologically, emotionally and certainly physically,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wasn\u2019t gonna allow cancer to do that,\u201d the actor said. \u201cI was gonna laugh my way through it and keep the people I love close to me. That helps.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since going public with his cancer journey, Coulier has underlined that early detection tests, including prostate exams and mammograms, can be life-saving.
