The former CVS Pharmacy building at 34 Court Street in downtown Binghamton on February 4, 2026 (Photo: Bob Joseph\/WNBF News)<\/span><\/p> Levy is hoping to build an 8,000-square-foot building on land that had been used to provide parking for the CVS store, which closed in November 2021.<\/p>\n Levy, who graduated from Binghamton Central High School in 1980, said he has plenty of fond memories of the area.<\/p>\n His project, which has a working name of “Jynx,” would establish a “first-class venue” for live shows and dance parties. He’s working to finalize plans for the venue, which would be located to the west of the city-owned parking garage at 7 Hawley Street.<\/p>\n For now, Levy is concentrating on developing the entertainment venue.
