Billie Eilish<\/a> spoke at the Grammy Awards. And a whole lot of wealthy old geezers listened, complained and, well, they ought to be ashamed.<\/p>\n That\u2019s the gist of a message posted by Finneas<\/a> on Instagram Stories<\/a>, following his sister\u2019s rousing speech Sunday, Feb. 1 at the Grammys.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cSeeing a lot of very powerful old white men outraged about what my 24 year old sister said during her acceptance speech,\u201d he writes. \u201cWe can literally see your names in the Epstein files.\u201d<\/p>\n A gold rush wasn\u2019t expected, but that\u2019s what panned out as Eilish came out on top in the Grammys song of the year category for \u201cWildflower,\u201d from her 2024 album\u00a0Hit Me Hard and Soft. With that win, the pop superstar added an 11th golden gramophone to her imposing tally, and used the platform of her speech to put the Trump administration on blast.<\/p>\n Eilish took the stage<\/a> with her writing partner, musical foil and brother Finneas, to accept the award from songwriting legend Carole King.<\/p>\n \u201cAs grateful as I feel, I honestly don\u2019t feel like I need to say anything but that \u2026 no one is illegal on stolen land,\u201d she remarked. \u201cAnd, yeah it\u2019s just really hard to know what to say and what to do right now,\u201d continued Eilish, who, like many in the audience at the\u00a0Crypto.com<\/a>\u00a0Arena in Los Angeles, was\u00a0wearing an \u201cICE Out\u201d pin<\/a>\u00a0as part of a protest against Trump\u2019s immigration enforcement surge, which in January resulted in the killing of\u00a0two American citizens<\/a>\u00a0by immigration enforcement agents.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel really hopeful in this room, and I feel like we just need to keep fighting and speaking up and protesting. Our voices really do matter and the people matter,\u201d Eilish continued. She sounded off with, \u201cAnd f\u2013k ICE is all I wanna say, sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n As previously reported, Eilish has spent the past several weeks vocally criticizing the Trump administration\u2019s immigration actions, calling ICE a \u201cterrorist group<\/a>\u201d after its killing of 37-year-old poet and mother of three Ren\u00e9e Nicole Good, and blasting the organization\u2019s\u00a0Minnesota operation<\/a>\u00a0while accepting the MLK Jr. Environmental Justice award in January.<\/p>\n Finneas, too, has been vocal about ICE and the hypocrisy of conservative commentators.<\/p>\n The producer, songwriter and artist stepped in, and promised to keep speaking up, when USA Today published an op-ed titled \u201cPSA to celebs: Stick to performing, stay away from politics,\u201d written by Ingrid Jacques.<\/p>\n In a Threads post<\/a>, Finneas writes: \u201cYou just can\u2019t do both. You can\u2019t say it doesn\u2019t matter what musicians or celebrities say or think but then talk about it for days. You\u2019re out here making it matter.
