Despite previously slamming Joy Behar and calling The View a \u201csinking talk show,\u201d former co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is set to return to the Hot Topics table. <\/p>\n

According to Entertainment Weekly,<\/a> Hasselbeck will be filling in for Alyssa Farah Griffin as she goes on maternity leave. <\/p>\n

Hasselbeck, a permanent co-host of The View from 2003 to 2013, called out Behar for criticizing Carrie Underwood\u2019s decision to perform at President Trump\u2019s second inauguration. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat @TheView @JoyVBehar needs to simmer down off my friend,\u201d Hasselbeck stated. She later accused Behar of calling Underwood \u201cun-American.\u201d <\/p>\n

The former\u00a0Survivor\u00a0contestant continued her dig by sharing a photo of Behar to her Instagram Story, writing, \u201cJoy \u2013 @carrieunderwood is an INCREDIBLE WOMAN.<\/span> You could learn from her strength.\u201d <\/p>\n

Hasselbeck later slammed The View while appearing on Fox News\u2019 Hannity. \u201c[The show] refused to put anyone there who has a lick of sense on most days.\u201d <\/p>\n

She also stated that Behar\u2019s criticism of Underwood felt like \u201cnothing more than selfish personal publicity \u2013 gaining right now.\u201d Hasselbeck then noted that Behar \u201cwants to attach her name\u201d to Underwood\u2019s name to maintain relevance. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe knows the ship is sinking,\u201d Hasselbeck said about The View. <\/p>\n

Hasselbeck Says She\u2019s Excited to Return as Co-Host on \u2018The View\u2019 <\/h2>\n

Hasselbeck confirmed the news in an Instagram Stories post. <\/p>\n

\u201cCongratulations to Alyssa,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI had all three of our children while on The View.\u201c<\/p>\n

Hasselbeck then shared her excitement about returning as a co-host on The View. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m excited to go back,\u201d she declared. \u201cI\u2019m honored that they asked me. It\u2019s a really intelligent group of women.\u201d <\/p>\n

Alongside her early 2025 criticism of The View<\/span>, Hasselbeck was involved in other controversies involving the talk show\u00a0over the past year. <\/p>\n

In October, Hasselbeck slammed former The View co-host Rosie O\u2019Donnell for allegedly lying about their infamous 2007 on-set fight. <\/p>\n

At the time, O\u2019Donnell claimed that the spat \u201cwas prepared\u201d by The View\u2019s then-producer Bill Geddie. The comedian also explained that she had \u201cbent over backwards\u201d for Hasselbeck before she questioned her patriotism in front of a live audience.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was prepared so the whole thing, I think, was a setup,\u201d O\u2019Donnell said. \u201cOur producer is not an on-the-fly kind of guy. He wasn\u2019t, like, Mr. Let\u2019s-go-to-a-split-screen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hasselbeck responded to the claims by asking O\u2019Donnell to \u201cstop the madness\u201d and \u201cstop the lying.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd even maybe if you don\u2019t stop, I still forgive you,\u201d Hasselbeck stated, tearfully. \u201cAnd it can just be so much more free, Rosie, if you can just stop. Stop the madness, stop the lying, and just be free.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
