On Tuesday, Ashleigh Banfield<\/a> reported on her podcast that Nancy Guthrie<\/a>\u2019s son-in-law Tommaso Cioni \u201cmay be\u201d the \u201cprime suspect\u201d in the alleged kidnapping of Savannah Guthrie<\/a>\u2019s 84-year-old mother, citing a \u201claw enforcement source.\u201d Today, Pima County Sheriff<\/a> Chris Nanos<\/a> called the report \u201creckless.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t have anybody here listed as a suspect,\u201d Nanos said at a Thursday press conference. He did acknowledge, however, that \u201cnobody\u2019s eliminated.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nanos specified they don\u2019t have a \u201cperson of interest\u201d identified either.<\/p>\n

\u201cNobody\u2019s eliminated, but we just really don\u2019t have enough to say, \u2018This is our suspect, this is our guy, we know \u2014 or our gal.\u2019 We don\u2019t know that,\u201d Nanos said at a Thursday press conference. \u201cAnd it\u2019s really kind of reckless to report that someone is a suspect when they could very well be a victim.\u201d<\/p>\n
