The stars of The Celebrity Traitors’ first season BBC\/Studio Lambert\/Euan Cherry<\/span><\/p>\n It\u2019s only been a few weeks since <\/span>The Traitors<\/span><\/a> left our screens, but we\u2019re already looking ahead to <\/span>the next celebrity series<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Naturally, <\/span>speculation is already in full flow<\/span><\/a> about who the next bunch of celebs heading to the Scottish castle could be, but it turns out there\u2019s one casting rule that helps determine just that.<\/span><\/p>\n Geordie Shore<\/span><\/a> star and <\/span>Celebrity Big Brother<\/span><\/a> winner <\/span>Charlotte Crosby<\/span><\/a> has made it clear that she won\u2019t be getting a call-up for The Traitors because of a supposed \u201cno reality stars\u201d rule.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThat is a genuine fact,\u201d she told <\/span>The Sun<\/span><\/a>. \u201cMy agent is on the line and he will confirm. They take no reality stars.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cA lot of shows have this rule. I\u2019m A Celebrity used to have this rule. But it gets to the point where they\u2019ve obviously run out of big names so they have to start delving into [reality TV].<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cSo, they\u2019ll have this rule for maybe three or four series, and then they might have to break the mold a bit.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAs soon as they do, I will be there with my ******* cloak,\u201d Charlotte quipped.<\/span><\/p>\n The inaugural celebrity spin-off last year saw <\/span>Alan Carr win the show against all odds<\/span><\/a>, fending off competition from the likes of Nick Mohammed<\/span>, Jonathan Ross<\/span>, Paloma Faith<\/span> and Stephen Fry<\/span> in the process.<\/span><\/p>\n True to Charlotte\u2019s claims, none of the stars made their name on reality television, although a small handful had appeared on such shows.<\/span><\/p>\n Eastenders actor Tameka Empson<\/span> appeared on <\/span>Strictly Come Dancing<\/span><\/a> in 2016, while Kate Garraway<\/span> was on the show in 2007, and followed it up with appearances on <\/span>I\u2019m A Celebrity\u2026Get Me Out Of Here!<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>The Masked Singer<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Even Celebrity Traitors champion Alan Carr<\/span>\u00a0dipped his toe in reality TV for charity, with previous appearances on <\/span>The Great Celebrity Bake Off<\/span><\/a> and a celebrity spin-off of <\/span>The Apprentice<\/span><\/a> for Comic Relief back in 2009.<\/span><\/p>\n
