Remember last October when Cillian Murphy and Taylor Swift shared a couch on The Graham Norton Show?<\/span> Well, their fellow guest Domhnall Gleeson made a throwaway comment on the night that has seen everyone on that episode reunite for a new music video.<\/p>\n

Swift\u2019s latest video is for Opalite,<\/span> from her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl,<\/span> and sees her star opposite Gleeson in a 1990s-style production where they play lonely people who meet thanks to a spray bottle of Opalite.<\/p>\n

Throughout the video, cameos are made by West Cork’s Graham Norton as a salesperson, Lewis Capaldi as a photographer, Jodie Turner-Smith as an aerobic dream girl, Greta Lee as an indie rock goddess and the famously private Cork actor Cillian Murphy pops up as an Opalite spokesperson in posters and he also provides the opening advert VoiceOver in an American accent.<\/p>\n\"Cillian

Swift credited Gleeson with inspiring the entire shoot and, in explaining how it came together, thanked her co-stars for going the extra mile to make it happen.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy favorite part about writing is that first spark of an idea. It can happen at any time, for any reason. The idea for the Opalite<\/span> music video crash landed into my imagination when I was doing promo for The Life of a Showgirl.<\/span> I was a guest on one of my favorite shows, The Graham Norton Show,<\/span>\u201d she wrote on Instagram.<\/p>\n\"Domhnall

\u201cFor those of you who aren\u2019t familiar, it\u2019s a UK late night show where Graham Norton (the insanely charismatic and lovable host) invites a random group of actors, entertainers, musicians, etc to be on his show and we all sit there and chat like it\u2019s a dinner party. They even serve wine.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnyway. I remember thinking I got ridiculously lucky with the group I was paired with. Cillian Murphy, Domhnall Gleeson, Greta Lee,\u00a0Jodie Turner-Lee, and Lewis Capaldi. All people whose work I\u2019ve admired from afar.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we were all talking during the broadcast, Domhnall made a light hearted joke about wanting to be in one of my music videos. He\u2019s Irish! He was joking! Except that in that moment during the interview, I was instantly struck with an *idea*.<\/p>\n\"Domhnall

\u201cAnd so a week later he received an email script I\u2019d written for the Opalite<\/span> video, where he was playing the starring role. I had this thought that it would be wild if all of our fellow guests on The Graham Norton Show<\/span> that night, including Graham himself, could be a part of it too. Like a school group project but for adults and it isn\u2019t mandatory.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo my delight, everyone from the show made the effort to time travel back to the 90\u2019s with us and help with this video.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Opalite video is out now on Spotify and Apple Music and will be available on YouTube from Sunday.<\/p>\n

During the show last year, Swift also invited Norton to her upcoming wedding to Travis Kelce.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
