But that all changed over the weekend when her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie<\/a>, went missing. NBC<\/a> commentators Mary Carillo<\/a> and Terry Gannon<\/a> kicked off the network\u2019s Olympics coverage by sending well wishes to Guthrie<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re certainly without a very important and beloved member of our team tonight,\u201d Gannon<\/a> said of Guthrie right before NBC\u2019s broadcast of the opening ceremony began. \u201cShe is dearly missed by everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n
