Nine Inch Nails<\/a> kicked off the Winter 2026 North American leg<\/a> of their acclaimed \u201cPeel It Back\u201d tour on Thursday night at New Orleans\u2019 Smoothie King Center. The industrial legends sported a new look from the tour\u2019s previous legs, unveiling Stu Brooks as their new touring bassist.<\/p>\n Brooks has worked with Dominic Fike, Danny Elfman, Perry Farrell, Matisyahu, and others. He takes over for Alessandro Cortini, who had been with the band since 2005, with no reason given for his departure.<\/p>\n Get Nine Inch Nails Tickets Here<\/a><\/p>\n Prior to taking the stage with NIN, Brooks told Bass Magazine<\/em><\/a>, \u201cI\u2019m feeling excited! It\u2019s such a huge honor to play with these musicians and have this opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n Related Video<\/p>\n The 2025 run of the \u201cPeel It Back\u201d tour earned universal praise, with Consequence<\/em> naming NIN our Live Act of the Year<\/a>. The show in New Orleans featured the same setup as the 2025 legs, with a main stage and intimate B-stage, but added a couple new highlights to the 21-song setlist.<\/p>\n Trent Reznor (wearing a white outfit this time around) and company mixed things up by opening with Pretty Hate Machine<\/em>\u2018s \u201cSomething I Can Never Have,\u201d giving the song its tour debut (along with a snippet of Depeche Mode\u2019s \u201cStripped\u201d), and then following that up with the rarity \u201cNon-Entity,\u201d performed for the first time since 2009.<\/p>\n The rest of the set was similar to variations the band played last year, featuring classics like \u201cWish\u201d and \u201cCloser\u201d (with opening act Boys Noize), along with set closers \u201cHead Like a Hole\u201d and \u201cHurt.\u201d<\/p>\n NIN\u2019s winter tour runs through a March 16th show in Sacramento, California, with tickets available here<\/a>.
