Production is slated to begin in Japan next month on prolific master of horror Takashi Miike<\/a>\u2018s new film starring pop sensation Charli Xcx<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Deadline reports that Milly Alcock<\/a> (Supergirl), Norman Reedus<\/a> (\u201cThe Walking Dead<\/a>\u201d), Sho Kasamatsu<\/a> (\u201cTokyo Vice<\/a>\u201d), and Kiko Mizuhara<\/a> (Attack on Titan<\/a>) have joined the cast.<\/p>\n

The as-yet-untitled film will follow three best friends who meet up in Kyoto, Japan, to rekindle their lifelong friendships. What is intended to be a carefree girls trip devolves into a nightmare when Katie (Charli xcx<\/a>) becomes possessed by a violent, tortured spirit (Mizuhara).<\/p>\n

Ross Evans<\/a> and Yumiko Aoyagi<\/a> wrote the script, based on an original idea by Charli and Miike<\/a>.<\/p>\n
