But it can go so much farther. This is the one time in year that people actually are tuning in for ads instead of waiting to be interrupted by them. It\u2019s an amazing time for the best and most prolific brands out there to go make the most entertaining content they can.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here are the best of the 2026 ads, according to experts.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>XFinity<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Original \u201cJurassic Park\u201d stars Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum reunite for an ad spoofing the 1993 classic \u2014\u00a0speculating about how it would have been different if they\u2019d had Wi-Fi back then.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGuys, that could\u2019ve been bad,\u201d Dern quips when the park\u2019s electrical systems go back online.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the plays you see is themes on nostalgia, celebrities that are well liked or well known,\u201d Professor Derek Rucker, professor of Marketing at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, noted of this year\u2019s ad crop. \u201cIt\u2019s a way for brands to say, \u2018We don\u2019t want to set off any political landmines or other landmines.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He cited the spot \u201ca great example of a throwback.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Instacart\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Unlikely duo Ben Stiller and Benson Boone team up as retro Eurovision-style performers in this nostalgia-fueled ad, directed by \u201cBeing John Malkovich\u201d filmmaker Spike Jonze.<\/p>\n<p>Calling it \u201cpure entertainment\u201d and \u201cpure nostalgia,\u201d Magda Tomaszewski, Group Business Director at RGA, noted\u00a0that it\u2019s an example of a brand leaning into \u201ctrue entertainment marketing and really thinking about how they can create truly entertaining spots that aren\u2019t just advertising a product, but actually entertaining audiences.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Trowbridge was also impressed. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fact that Spike Jonze made it gives it artistic credibility,\u00a0combined with Ben Stiller \u2014 one\u00a0of millennials\u2019 favorite comedians \u2014\u00a0combined with GenZ\u2019s favorite pop star \u2026 It makes for an incredible combination that will hopefully pull in audiences from all over and give them all a sense of meaning,\u201d he noted.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rocket Mortgage\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Lady Gaga stars in this simple, black-and-white ad for Rocket and Redfin, singing a cover of \u201cWon\u2019t You Be My Neighbor\u201d from \u201cMister Rogers Neighborhood.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Experts singled it out as the ad that most overtly nods to current events, with a subtle message about community amid events like ICE raids and protests across the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrands are never going to be polarizing, but \u2026 I was really touched by that. It\u2019s really powerful. It\u2019s not political, but it is \u2026 And they didn\u2019t overthink it,\u201d Kessler noted.\u00a0\u201cI thought that was really sort of charming and classy the way that that came together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trowbridge agreed, praising the brands for providing \u201can entertaining piece of content rather than an ad that interrupts my experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fanatics Sportsbook<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Kendall Jenner stars in the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=JfLUbLIULDw&amp;t=1s\">ad for Fanatics Sportsbook<\/a>, poking fun at the Kardashian family\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/article\/inside-kardashian-curse-meaning\/\">alleged dating curse<\/a>. The 30-year-old \u2014 who <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/article\/kendall-jenner-dating-history\/\">dated several NBA star<\/a>s in the past \u2014 jokes that any basketball player who dates her \u201chits a rough patch.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>She then shows off a fabulous home, vintage car and private jet, suggesting she won them by betting on her exes\u2019 failures.<\/p>\n<p>This ad \u201cfeels really smart,\u201d said Kessler, noting that it seems to be targeting \u201cpeople that are not normally involved [in betting], like the girlfriends of the people that would normally be on Fanatic sports book.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She said this ad is notable because it has, \u201cclever celebrity usage. I don\u2019t think people always nail it with celebs. There\u2019s a time and a reason to use somebody very specifically. But when an idea is not built around that person, it feels sort of frivolous. The Kendall Jenner one feels really specific.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Grubhub\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>George Clooney stars in an ad for the delivery brand, which features a table of oddball guests dining at a lavish estate \u2014\u00a0only to be served the unwanted last course, \u201cthe fees.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Clooney swoops in when no one wants to pony up, offering, \u201cGrubhub will eat the fees.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe one that I thought was a bit unexpected was George Clooney in Grubhub,\u201d said Tomaszewski.  But she praised the \u201chead-turning\u201d casing, noting, \u201chere I am, talking about it!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Trowbridge also gave Clooney high marks, saying, \u201cgetting this level of star power is going to impress.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Uber Eats<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The delivery brand has become known for its big game ads \u2014 past years have featured celebs like the Beckhams, Charli xcx and Matthew McConaughey. <\/p>\n<p>The latter returns this year, joined by Bradley Cooper and Parker Posey, fresh off her career invigoration from \u201cThe White Lotus.\u201d McConaughey tries to sell the others on a conspiracy theory that football is really about  \u2026 food.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI really continue to enjoy the Uber Eats campaign,\u201d said Tomaszewski.\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s always entertaining to see what celebrities they\u2019ll bring into the mix and what [storylines will] unravel.\u201d <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dunkin\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>Ben Affleck returned for his fourth Super Bowl spot, featuring the coffee brand he most frequently gets papped carrying. This year, he was joined for a teaser by a slew of \u201990s stars, including Jennifer Aniston, Jason Alexander and Matt LeBlanc. (Artists Equity, Affleck\u2019s production company with Matt Damon, also produced the spot).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u201cSeeing some of our favorite celebrities poke fun at themselves. I think that really just shows creates relate ability more than anything,\u201d said Tomaszewski. <\/p>\n<p>Affleck is the frequent subject of memes, with photos of him pucking up Dunkin, and she noted that she\u2019s been noticing more \u201cinternet culture\u201d showing up in ads. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cDunkin Donuts has had a really great stretch working with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck\u2019s production company. I\u2019m curious to see what they come up with.
