The next era of Lainey<\/a>\u00a0Wilson<\/a><\/strong> is seemingly upon us. She has been teasing a new song called \u201cCan\u2019t Sit Still\u201d for a couple weeks now, and she previously shared a link to a website cantsitstill.com<\/a> which gives fans a teaser of the new song.<\/p>\n But while on tour in New Zealand, she treated fans to a full performance of the new song, which has a really cool melody and upbeat production that finds her singing about how much she runs around, and has a restless soul, hence the title.<\/p>\n I imagine she wouldn\u2019t be teasing it if it wasn\u2019t set to be released soon, and considering she put out her most recent album Whirlwind<\/em> in 2024, it would seem like it\u2019s been long enough and new music could potentially be on the horizon.<\/p>\n You can check it out here:<\/p>\n In addition to some tour dates, Lainey is putting out a documentary\u00a0called Lainey Wilson: Keepin\u2019 Country Cool<\/em>, which has been acquired by Netflix and follows her life juggling being a country music superstar. It was directed by Amy Scott and produced by Teton Ridge Entertainment, Sandbox Studios and MakeMake in association with Shark Pig Studios, and will be available on Netflix globally starting on April 22nd.<\/p>\n Lainey says it was a very \u201cspecial project\u201d to make, and she hopes the message of dreaming big, while staying true to who you are, is the secret to success no matter what you\u2019re chasing:<\/p>\n \u201cI couldn\u2019t be more excited that this documentary is going to be on Netflix. This was such a special project to make, and I hope that folks who watch it see that no dream is too big and that staying true to who you are will always lead you exactly where you\u2019re meant to be.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n She has also said she\u2019s getting married to her longtime boyfriend turned fianc\u00e9 Duck Hodges, though it sounds like the wedding planning has taken a backseat to their busy schedules, so it\u2019s unclear when exactly they plan to tie the knot.<\/p>\n Either way, 2026 is shaping up to be another busy year for the country star, and new music might be part of the equation\u00a0too.
