For too long now, Dracula<\/a> movies have been an industry, a monster brand unto themselves. At this point, it\u2019s like seeing the umpteenth version of a Shakespeare warhorse or a musical like \u201cAnnie<\/a>\u201d \u2014 what is there left to discover? The saga of Dracula has become an endless rerun. And even if you don\u2019t feel like you\u2019ve already lived through a century\u2019s worth of Dracula movies, and that they\u2019ve wrung this story dry, there have been two elaborately eye-catching and overproduced recent versions \u2014 \u201cRenfield<\/a>,\u201d in which Nicolas Cage<\/a> did his thing as Dracula, and Robert Eggers\u2019 \u201cNosferatu<\/a>,\u201d in which the ratio of awesome production design to interesting drama was about seven to one.<\/p>\n
