He was <a target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kansascity.com\/sports\/mlb\/kansas-city-royals\/article242883526.html\">instrumental in helping the Royals reach consecutive World Series<\/a>. Known for his elite speed, Gore was often inserted in late-game situations to steal a base.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Gore stole 43 bases in his career. He spent five seasons with the Royals \u2014 across two stints \u2014 while also playing for the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets.
