Former Kansas City Royals outfielder Terrance Gore died on Friday from complications following a medical procedure, according to multiple reports.<\/p>\n

Gore began his Major League Baseball career with the Royals. He was selected in the 20th round of the 2011 MLB Draft out of Gulf Coast State College.<\/p>\n

In 2014, Gore made his MLB debut with the Royals. He was instrumental in helping the Royals reach consecutive World Series<\/a>. Known for his elite speed, Gore was often inserted in late-game situations to steal a base.<\/p>\n

Gore stole 43 bases in his career. He spent five seasons with the Royals \u2014 across two stints \u2014 while also playing for the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets. He also appeared in the 2021 postseason with the Atlanta Braves.<\/p>\n

In eight seasons, Gore won two World Series championships. His heroics were important in helping the Royals snap a 30-year title drought in 2015.<\/p>\n

Gore\u2019s last major-league appearance came with the Mets during the 2022 season. He played in 10 games, including the National League Wild Card Series against the San Diego Padres.<\/p>\n
