Bad Bunny will make a subtle dig at MAGA supporters in tonight’s Super Bowl halftime show, according to industry experts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Speaking exclusively to The Express US, Georgia shared, “As history repeats itself from last year, I think there might be some shady, if you know, you know kind of hits as Kendrick Lamar did for Drake.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Kendrick Lamar went viral last year as he sang his Drake diss track at the Super Bowl halftime show.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Georgia also suggested Bad Bunny might subtly shade the Trump administration with his outfits as she pointed out, “There’s been some tease of what he’s going to wear.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
She continued, “I don’t think it’ll be a direct address. If I were to make my own personal assumption, I think it’s going to be an if you know, you know.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Keith also spoke to us about the criticism Bad Bunny has received from MAGA fans. “It’s really interesting because I think in this type of cultural context, really the backlash is less about Bad Bunny as an artist and more about what he’s representing culturally,” he shared.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The expert added, “On the right, for them, he’s representing that idea of cultural replacement, right. And that’s how they’re seeing this.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Keith suggested those who have criticized Bad Bunny will “take advantage” of his Super Bowl headline slot to try and amplify the hate against him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
“What they’ll do is, you know, create a large amount of content that then makes it look like there’s a large amount of backlash, which then fans follow,” he predicted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
However, Keith said it’s a mistake to think that a large volume of criticism translates directly into a large volume of critics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
He explained, “When you look online, it looks like there are a lot of people talking about this. But when you look at who’s posting and how much, it’s actually a lot less than people think. You know we tracked over the last two weeks, 170,000 posts around this topic, but only 19,000 of those were original content.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Keith continued, “That’s why it can look like there’s a lot of backlash when in fact it’s just being amplified a lot.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
In terms of how Bad Bunny should respond, Keith suggested he needs to take control of the narrative and post his own content to address it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
“Don’t ever engage with the original content. Don’t comment or repost,” he warned. “Start your own new thread if you want to address it, or try to create a parallel narrative that people can engage with.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
