Feb. 8 (UPI) —<\/span> Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle<\/a> helped honor Tina Knowles<\/a>, pop music legend Beyonce<\/a>‘s mother, at the Fifteen Percent Pledge fundraiser gala at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Knowles was honored for her leadership, advocacy and commitment to empowering Black communities and creators.\n<\/p>\n

Celebrity attendees at the event included Jeannie Mai, Winnie Harlow, Kimora Lee Simmons<\/a>, Emma Grede, Rachel Zoe, Lake Bell, and others.<\/p>\n

“Shop Black-owned brands with Fifteen Percent Pledge. For consumers who want to shop their values, Fifteen Percent Pledge has created a directory of Black-owned brands across a variety of categories and products,” the organization’s website<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

“Peruse the selection, discover new brands, and shop Black, all in an effort to create greater equity for Black businesses.”<\/p>\n
