One series might be enough for most actors. But two?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

That\u2019s what Max Thieriot discovered when \u201cSheriff Country,\u201d the spin-off of his \u201cFire Country,\u201d hit the airwaves.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cObviously there\u2019s always stuff stewing in my brain, but I think for right now, I\u2019ve got to focus on the two,\u201d he says. \u201cSheriff Country\u201d star Morena Baccarin says they joke about making \u201cSleep Country\u201d and \u201cWine Country.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been talking about \u2018Vacation Country\u2019 for a while,\u201d Thieriot says with a smile.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In practice, there are several crossovers this year and plans for a \u201cfrigging awesome crossover\u201d April 3.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cObviously it was a huge amount of work for all the actors and the crew to pull off,\u201d he says. \u201cI can say the finished product is pretty amazing. The hardest thing is just finding time to be able to bring actors into each other\u2019s shows.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Thieriot pitched \u201cFire Country\u201d in 2022 and found himself starring in the series about firefighters in California. \u201cSheriff Country,\u201d which is also set in fictional Edgewater County, premiered in the fall of 2025. Both get his attention.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cI watch cuts, I get dailies every day, I give notes on every\u2026it\u2019s a lot,\u201d Thieriot says. \u201cWe have such a great team (at \u2018Sheriff\u2019s Country\u2019) and it starts at the top. Morena is an incredible leader and just an amazing partner on screen for all her costars.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cPeople will bust their (expletive) for you if you show them that you\u2019re going to bust your (expletive) and you\u2019re going to be there every day,\u201d he adds.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cPeople want to go to work and go home and be able to smile at the end of the day. If you can do that, it just changes the whole tone and the work ethic.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Alona Tal, Thieriot\u2019s co-star on \u201cSEAL Team,\u201d made an appearance in this season\u2019s \u201cFire Country,\u201d and fans wondered if it might lead to a continuing role.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cHaving that familiarity is easy to jump into,\u201d he says. \u201cYou\u2019re not trying to discover this relationship with this other person and find this chemistry. We know that it exists.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cObviously, we\u2019re hinting that it might go further than that because (the characters) had a preexisting crush. I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s too soon but we\u2019re certainly going to let it develop and build into something, rather than totally rush it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Shows like \u201cSheriff Country\u201d and \u201cFire Country\u201d work because there\u2019s a connectivity, Baccarin says. \u201cWe\u2019re all relating to each other as a family.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Now, it\u2019s just a matter of finding time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
