Kid Rock<\/a><\/strong> added a verse to the chart-topping hit \u201c\u2018Til You Can\u2019t\u201d by Cody Johnson<\/strong><\/a> during Turning Point USA<\/a>\u2018s All-American Halftime Show<\/a>, which aired concurrently with the Super Bowl LX Apple Music Halftime Show featuring Bad Bunny on Sunday (Feb. 8).<\/p>\n The controversial superstar launched his two-song set with the fan-favorite rock anthem, \u201cBawitdaba,\u201d as the venue lit up and an American flag filled the backdrop. Kid Rock, wearing jean shorts, a white fur vest that he quickly shed over a black tank top, and a fedora, stormed the stage as flames erupted and red, white, and blue lights filled the unknown venue.<\/p>\n \u201cBawitdaba, da-bang, da-bang, diggy-diggy-diggy\/ Said the boogie, said up jump the boogie\/ Bawitdaba, da-bang, da-bang, diggy-diggy-diggy\/ Said the boogie, said up drop the boogie,\u201d Kid Rock sang on the track\u2019s chorus.<\/p>\n He then briefly exited the stage as a violinist and cellist took center stage before Kid Rock returned, this time being introduced by his real name, Robert Ritchie.<\/p>\n This time, Ritchie appeared in an all-denim ensemble and a baby blue trucker hat honoring his hometown of Detroit as he stood under a lone spotlight at center stage and performed a reimagined version of \u201c\u2018Til You Can\u2019t,\u201d originally recorded by Cody Johnson.<\/p>\n He performed Johnson\u2019s original lyrics throughout the opening verses and choruses before adding his own verse near the end of the song. Joined by his full band, including a drummer whose drumhead featured The Preamble to the U.S. Constitution, Kid Rock showcased his country vocals with light instrumentation.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you got a chance, take it, take it while you got a chance\/ If you got a dream, chase it, \u2019cause a dream won\u2019t chase you back\/ If you\u2019re gonna love somebody\/ Hold \u2019em as long and as strong and as close as you can\/ \u2018Til you can\u2019t,\u201d Kid Rock sang on the chorus before pausing to explain his new verse.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know I awoke one Sunday morning all alone with this song stuck in my head. And in that moment, something or someone spoke to me. They said there was still a verse that needed to be written for this song, and to get up and write it down,\u201d Kid Rock said, explaining why he felt called to add a verse to Cody Johnson\u2019s huge hit.<\/p>\n Kid Rock then went to sing the newly added verse. \u201cThere\u2019s a book that is sitting in your house somewhere that could use some dusting off\/ There\u2019s a man that died for all our sins\/ hanging from the cross\/ You can give your life to Jesus\/ and he\u2019ll give you a second chance\/ \u2019til you can\u2019t, \u2019til you can\u2019t,\u201d he sang as the crowd erupted into thunderous cheers.<\/p>\n His performance concluded with a tribute to the late Charlie Kirk, who was tragically assassinated while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. Photos of Kirk, his wife, Erica Kirk, and their children then filled the screens surrounding the stage, accompanied by the words, \u201cIn Remembrance of Charlie Kirk.\u201d<\/p>\n Following Kid Rock\u2019s performance on the show, he revealed that he will be releasing his version of the Cody Johnson hit on all streaming platforms on Monday, February 9.
