You can truly make a night of it, there is so much to do.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The long-running free outdoor theater series featuring the work of The Bard returns for on May 27 at the\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/kyshakespeare.com\/venue\/central-park\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">C. Douglas Ramey Amphitheater<\/a>, 1340 S. Fourth St., in Old Louisville&#8217;s Central Park. In addition, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/kyshakespeare.com\/season\/sicp\/\">Kentucky Shakespeare<\/a>will present the classic tragedy &#8220;Romeo and Juliet&#8221; from its Globe Players professional training program for high school students, plus Shakespeare in Dance from <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.louisvilleballet.org\/\">Louisville Ballet<\/a>.<\/p>\n<partner-inline util-module-path=\"elements\/partner\" placement=\"native-article_link\" sizes=\"[[300, 250], [3, 3]]\" min-height=\"250\" fluid=\"\" outstream=\"\"\/>\n<p>Since 1960, Louisville has been treated to free outdoor performances of the plays by\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/kyshakespeare.com\/season\/sicp\/\">Kentucky Shakespeare<\/a>, making it the longest-running non-ticketed\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/kyshakespeare.com\/season\/sicp\/\">Shakespeare festival<\/a>\u00a0in the United States.<\/p>\n<partner-banner util-module-path=\"elements\/partner\" fluid=\"\" bottom=\"\" lazy=\"\" class=\"spacer-large\" min-height=\"600\" outstream=\"\" momentum=\"\"\/>\n<p>Adding to the festival-like atmosphere of Kentucky Shakespeare in the Park, The\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/kyshakespeare.com\/season\/sicp\/\">Kids&#8217; Globe<\/a> tent will open an hour before every performance during the summer with free interactive arts-based activities tied to the production, and various community groups will perform pre-shows at 7:15 p.m. prior to the featured production.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Pre-shows are wonderful,&#8221; Wallace said. &#8220;We&#8217;ve had Hawaiian dancers, Flamenco dance troupes and many other artistic groups from the community. You never know what you will get to see.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Performances on the main stage begin at 8 p.m. but come early. Starting at 6 p.m., a variety of 50-plus food trucks from the\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/kentuckianafoodtruckassociation.com\/\">Louisville Food Truck Association<\/a>\u00a0will rotate nightly throughout the summer with two to three per night.
