Coral Springs residents and visitors have plenty of opportunities for entertainment and learning this week, with offerings catering to many interests.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Looking for something engaging for kids after school? Check out new art, STEM and special-interest programming at the library and wellness center. Plus, toddlers and their caregivers can spend an afternoon celebrating the classic \u201cFrog and Toad\u201d series for Valentine\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Teens and adults can also pick up new skills, from AI-assisted essay writing to financial literacy and internet infrastructure.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

And, there are plenty of opportunities for a fun date night. Get hands-on with a local terrarium workshop featuring cocktails and carnivorous plants, or opt for a live show at one of the area\u2019s music and dining hubs.<\/p>\n

Join Dr. Lindsey Stewart, a Black feminist philosopher, for a talk about her new book, \u201cThe Conjuring of America: Mermaids, Medicine, and 400 Years of Black Women\u2019s Magic.\u201d The text tells the stories of how Black women, in secrecy and subterfuge, courageously and devotedly continued their practices and worship for centuries and passed down their traditions. These same practices informed the creation of Vicks VapoRub, Aunt Jemima\u2019s Pancake Mix, Disney\u2019s \u201cThe Little Mermaid\u201d (2023), and classic blue jeans.
