Taylor Swift<\/a> has unveiled the music video for ‘Opalite,’ from her 2025 album, The Life of a Showgirl<\/em>. Swift, who also directed the almost six-minute-long video, revealed the song was inspired by her fianc\u00e9, NFL player Travis Kelce<\/a>, whose birthstone is the opal.<\/p>\n The video, which premiered on Spotify and Apple Music and is now available on YouTube, features a number of well-known faces, including Irish actors Domhnall Gleeson<\/a> and Cillian Murphy<\/a>.<\/p>\n Gleeson stars as the romantic interest to Swift. Murphy contributes a voiceover and appears on in-video billboards and advertisements.<\/p>\n Talk show host Graham Norton<\/a> is featured as a salesman, and the video incorporates clips from The Graham Norton Show<\/em> at the end, showcasing the exchange between Swift, Gleeson, and Murphy that inspired the video. Other guests from that episode, Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi<\/a> and actresses Greta Lee and Jodie Turner-Smith, also make appearances in the music video.<\/p>\n \u201cThe idea for the ‘Opalite’ music video crash landed into my imagination when I was doing promo for The Life of a Showgirl,<\/em>\u201d said Taylor Swift in an Intsagram statement. \u201cI was a guest on one of my favorite shows, @TheGrahamNortonShowOfficial. When we were all talking during the broadcast, Domhnall made a light hearted joke about wanting to be in one of my music videos. He\u2019s Irish! He was joking! Except that in that moment during the interview, I was instantly struck with an *idea*.\u201d<\/p>\n Taylor Swift has also set a new Spotify record with the ‘Opalite’ music video. The video’s release achieved the biggest single-day streaming performance for a music video on the platform. This makes Swift the first artist to hold the record for Spotify’s largest streaming day across four categories: album, artist, song, and now, music video.<\/p>\n
