Portland, Ore. (KOIN<\/a>) \u2014 A local non-profit organization is signaling a new era as it opens \u2018The Off Beat,\u2019 an all-ages music venue in North Portland.<\/p>\n

\u2018Friends of Noise<\/a>\u2018 says the new space on North Interstate Avenue will host concerts, professional development workshops and private events.<\/p>\n

The hope is that \u2018The Off Beat\u2019 will provide a safer space where teens and music fans of all ages can thrive.<\/p>\n
