She could literally punch me in the face, and I\u2019d thank her.<\/p>\n<p>Part of the reason we love her is her carefree attitude and willingness to shrug away boundaries, and that\u2019s never been clearer than in her recent interview with <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.them.us\/story\/olivia-colman-sophie-hyde-jimpa-film-interview-nonbinary-child\">Them<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Promoting the new movie <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/thetab.com\/tag\/film\">Jimpa<\/a>, which saw Olivia\u2019s character Hannah grappling with her child\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/thetab.com\/tag\/lgbtq\">gender identity<\/a>, she herself admitted to questioning the sex she was assigned at birth.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"JIMPA Trailer (2025) Olivia Colman\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gV-F9gCJFZs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>When asked about her love for the queer community, which has birthed projects such as The Favourite, Heartstopper, Beautiful People, Olivia argued that \u201cthe most loving and the most beautiful stories are from that community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThroughout my whole life, I\u2019ve had arguments with people where I\u2019ve always felt sort of nonbinary. Don\u2019t make that a big sort of title! But I\u2019ve never felt massively feminine in my being female. I\u2019ve always described myself to my husband as a gay man,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo I do feel at home and at ease. I feel like I have a foot in various camps. I know many people who do. I don\u2019t really spend an awful lot of time with people who are very staunchly heterosexual\u2026.
