Elvis Presley<\/a><\/strong> fans are calling for greater recognition of the singer\u2019s later years.<\/p>\n The singer enjoyed a legendary career spanning music<\/a>, movies<\/a>, and television over 23 years. Fans are now calling for more photos, videos, and stories from this era to better celebrate that time of his life.<\/p>\n Their remarks came after the official Elvis Instagram page<\/a> posted a photo taken of the singer wearing his iconic Mexican Sundial jumpsuit. He wore the outfit, per Graceland’s official Facebook<\/a> page, at his very last show in June of 1977 in Indianapolis, Indiana. However, a Reddit<\/a> user clocked the outfit as being worn almost 40 times that year.<\/p>\n The post featured an image of the King of Rock and Roll performing with his eyes closed, hands up in the air. The guy on the guitar will find a new leg [sic] or the guy on the piano will find something, or the voices will add something, and I hear all of this, and it inspires me,” the post read.<\/p>\n Fans were thrilled to see the image and shared their wishes for more content of this type. Many requested to have Presley’s later years represented more often.<\/p>\n “Surprised they would post something from 1977,” wrote one follower. A second penned, “More fantastic pictures from later years, we love that. This man never gave up and never ever let his fans down.” A third Instagram user wrote, “Finally some rare pics! Post more of these please!”<\/p>\n A fourth fan shared a more lengthy statement. “This 1977 image encapsulates everything that made Elvis immortal. During his final tours, battling health struggles invisible to the crowd, he never gave less than everything. Each performance was a masterclass in pure devotion, not to fame, but to the people who believed in him.”<\/p>\n Elvis Presley died on August 16, 1977.
