Online<\/a><\/p>\n Jessica Simpson<\/strong><\/a> is toning down her blonde ambition.<\/span><\/p>\n The \u201cIrresistible\u201d singer traded in her signature blonde hair color for a shade of bronde\u2014a light brunette tone infused with golden dark blonde\u2014for the winter season, proving that dark hair truly does thrive in the cooler months. <\/span><\/p>\n In her <\/span>Feb. 9 Instagram Stories<\/span><\/a>, Jessica reposted a photo from her hairstylist <\/span>Chris Dylan<\/strong> that showed off her new color. In the shot, the 35-year-old strutted down the hallway in a black dress, her bronde hair tossed in a few waves. Chris wasn\u2019t the only person that praised her client\u2019s transformation, as celebrity colorist <\/span>Rita Hazan<\/strong> also shared a close look at Jessica\u2019s hair that same day. <\/span><\/p>\n Posting a <\/span>close-up photo of her side part<\/span><\/a>, she wrote, \u201cHazelnut brown is my new favorite shade on Jessica.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n Indeed, Rita has been working with the \u201cSweetest Sin\u201d star\u2014who shares kids <\/span>Maxwell<\/strong>, 13, <\/span>Ace<\/strong>, 12, and <\/span>Birdie<\/strong>, 6, with estranged husband <\/span>Eric Johnson<\/strong>\u2014to find her perfect shade of brown since the year started. To start the process, she turned Jessica into a \u201ccashmere bronde\u201d in January, a hue that\u2019s a smidge lighter from her current color.<\/span><\/p>\n More from E! Her hair color still has to be sexy and soft.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n But most importantly, the stylist wanted the tone to match Jessica\u2019s new era of music.
