Angelina Jolie stepped out for her first red carpet of 2026 last night Paris for the premiere of Couture and, fittingly, she was in Givenchy by Sarah Burton; this is one of the more notable looks we\u2019ve seen from her in a while. By her standards, going by recent history, this is Angie turning it up. <\/p>\n
And not just in the dress either, but also the hair. This is a proper blowout.<\/p>\n
That face card though, like seriously. When Angelina wants to serve, she can make it work for any camera. A Blackberry camera from 2010 could have produced a good shot with this face.<\/p>\n
Angelina\u2019s been quiet, even quieter than usual, the last few months. But that doesn\u2019t mean she hasn\u2019t been working. She was working on Anxious People last fall, adapted from Fredrik Backman\u2019s book of the same name. And then it was reported in December that she\u2019d started production on a film called Sunny<\/a> in the role of a gangster who\u2019s trying to protect herself and her sons from a drug lord. Angelina in a crime thriller? We\u2019ll take it.<\/p>\n She has at least two films in development, one of them is an action movie with Halle Berry called Maude v Maude which was supposed to be a Warner Bros title, so it remains to be seen what happens to the project now that WB is in the middle of an acquisition war. But it was also announced last year that she\u2019ll be working again with Doug Liman in another spy movie called The Initiative. And, well, it\u2019s about time she\u2019s returning to these kinds of roles. Justice for Salt<\/a>! <\/p>\n All of this is promising for Angelina on the professional front, but there\u2019s a f-cking dark cloud that\u2019s been hanging over her for years in her personal life. As \u201chappy\u201d as he keeps telling us he is, Brad Pitt can\u2019t be that content if he\u2019s this persistent about suing her over the sale of their French estate. The lawsuit has been interminable and the latest is that he\u2019s legally obliging her to turn over messages that she exchanged with her advisors which could mean that Angie is the next celebrity to get the \u201cbut her emails\u201d treatment.<\/p>\n We\u2019ve seen it over and over again, from former first lady politicians to celebrities and what happens when their private texts and other digital communications somehow make it online for the internet to distort and contort. This never works out for women and given how Brad has worked with some of the same PR operatives who\u2019ve represented Johnny Depp and, later on Justin Baldoni, um, it\u2019s not like his people wouldn\u2019t be familiar with the playbook.
