This time around, the band consists of AC Newman, Kathryn Calder, Neko Case, John Collins, and Todd\u00a0Fancey, working with veteran session drummer Charley Drayton. We already posted lead single &#8220;<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/stereogum.com\/2486075\/the-new-pornographers-announce-new-album-the-former-site-of-hear-votive\/music\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Votive<\/a>,&#8221; and now the band has followed that one with another track called &#8220;Pure Sticker Shock.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Pure Sticker Shock&#8221; is a bubbly synthpop jam about crippling self-doubt, and it really takes advantage of having all those great singers in the band. In a press release, AC Newman says, &#8220;This song is not about a specific event, but it has felt very &#8216;applicable&#8217; to me and this year of my life. It basically asks the question &#8216;What has worth?
