As Alyssa Farah Griffin <\/strong>prepares to go on maternity leave from The View<\/a>, she’s has a word of advice for the rotating co-hosts who will fill in for her while she’s gone.<\/p>\n “Authentically be yourself,” she told View producer Brian Teta while chatting on the ‘Behind the Table’ podcast<\/a> on Monday<\/a>. “Each of us brings our own view, you’re not here as a Republican party spokesperson, you’re not here as a defender of the current administration, you’re not here as an opponent, you’re there to say authentically what you believe when presented with the issues of the day.”<\/p>\n As for who will be sitting in Griffin’s chair, Teta mentioned that co-hosts including former View panelists Abby Huntsman<\/strong> and Elisabeth Hasselbeck <\/strong>will be filling in as well as TV personalities Savannah Chrisley <\/strong>and Sheryl Underwood,<\/strong> comedian Whitney Cummings,<\/strong> and Amanda Carpenter<\/strong> along with “other names we haven’t announced yet,” Teta said.<\/p>\n And while Huntsman and Hasselbeck have had a seat at The View table before, Griffin still advised the incoming substitutes to be genuine with the show’s savvy viewers.<\/p>\n “It took me time to learn but it comes through more with the audience,” she said of the hosts being themselves. “Like ‘I know [the host is] saying genuinely what they believe rather than what they’re supposed to.'”<\/p>\n Griffin announced she was expecting<\/a> in October<\/a> during a segment on the show.
