The legendary \u201990s Canadian rock band and cult-favorite 2010s English alt rock band took to Instagram with some mysterious collaboration posts on Feb. 9 and 10, and fans are desperate to know what their \u201ccollab of the century\u201d project actually is! <\/p>\n Related: Notorious Rock Rivals End 20-Year Feud, Announce Halloween Concert Together<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cCan I be the new lead singer?\u201d Don Broco captioned their Feb. 9 post<\/a>, which shows Nickelback lead singer Chad Kroeger<\/strong> with all of the Don Broco members\u2014guitarist Simon Delaney<\/strong>, drummer and vocalist Matt Donnelly<\/strong>, bassist Tom Doyle<\/strong>\u2014minus their larger-than-life lead vocalist Rob Damiani<\/strong>. <\/p>\n A second collab post on Feb. 10<\/a> added more intrigue with the caption, \u201cDON BROCO x NICKELBACK. NIGHTMARE TRIPPING.\u201d The photo shows all four members of Don Broco, plus Kroeger and Nickelback guitarist, keyboardist, and backing vocalist Ryan Peake<\/strong>, sitting around a spooky dinner table.<\/p>\n Related: Popular \u201990s Rock Band Quietly Disappears From Kid Rock\u2019s Music Festival Lineup<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Fans were both excited and confused in the comments of the post. \u201cNot being dramatic this is the best thing that\u2019s ever happened in all of history\u2026 this band is the definition of never let them know your next move,\u201d said one fan, while another added, \u201cI don\u2019t really know what it is, nor do I get it, but either away, it looks really good, whatever it is.\u201d \u201cNot sure if I\u2019m being trolled or not,\u201d said a third, with another chiming in, \u201cThis is genuinely the f\u2013king strangest crossover I\u2019ve seen and I\u2019m so happy.\u201d <\/p>\n Others couldn\u2019t help but share puns<\/a> using the most popular songs from each band, with heavy pop band The Home Team teasing, \u201cAnd they say that Don Broco could save us, I\u2019m not gonna stand here and wait,\u201d and another fan joking, \u201cNEVER MADE IT AS A HYPE MAN!\u201d while one screamed, \u201cLOOK AT THIS PHOTOGRAPH!\u201d <\/p>\n Others debated what to call the combination of bands, with suggestions ranging from \u201cBrocback\u201d to \u201cNickelbroc\u201d to \u201cDonkelback.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n But what is the project? Some theorized that it could be a joint song together, which could potentially be released on Friday<\/a> the 13th of February. Others speculated that they could be teaming up for a tour, as Don Broco just wrapped their 2025 tour and Nickelback also has no planned concerts coming up. Whatever it is, fans are ready for it, with one summing it up perfectly: \u201cConfused? Yes. Concerned? Mildly. Hyped?
