Jon Stewart<\/strong> has called out Donald Trump<\/strong> and his supporters who criticized Bad Bunny\u2019s Super Bowl halftime performance. He turned their argument about national unity back on them. Stewart questioned the expectation placed on entertainers and pointed directly at the president\u2019s own divisive rhetoric.<\/p>\n The comedy host dissected the conservative backlash<\/a> to Bad Bunny\u2019s headlining performance at Super Bowl LX. After highlighting clips of talking heads calling the show divisive, Stewart zeroed in on the absurdity at the heart of the complaint.<\/p>\n \u201cWhy the f\u2014 is it the Super Bowl halftime entertainer\u2019s job to unify the country? In what world is that their job?\u201d Stewart said on The Daily Show on February 9. \u201cOh, isn\u2019t there another person whose job description is much more along those lines?\u201d he added.<\/p>\n Jon Stewart then contrasted that expectation with Donald Trump\u2019s actions<\/a> on the same day. He displayed a screengrab from the president\u2019s Truth Social account. Trump had called the performance \u201cabsolutely terrible\u201d and claimed \u201cnobody understands a word this guy is saying.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNobody?\u201d Stewart retorted, laughing. \u201cI love how he thinks that Bad Bunny is the one guy in the world that\u2019s fluent in Spanish,\u201d he added.\u201d You know, the right has a lot of balls complaining that Bad Bunny didn\u2019t do enough to unify this country, when you only found out a few days ago that Puerto Rico is a part of it,\u201d Stewart added.<\/p>\n The host didn\u2019t stop there. Stewart offered a \u201cunifying pro tip\u201d for Trump\u2019s supporters. \u201cTell your guy to stop tweeting out racist slop during \u2014 I don\u2019t know \u2014 Black History Month,\u201d he said. This was a reference to a recently deleted racist post depicting the Obamas as primates that appeared on Trump\u2019s Truth Social, which the president\u2019s team blamed on a staffer.<\/p>\n Stewart also took aim at the alternative Turning Point USA halftime show, which ran concurrently and featured Kid Rock<\/a>. He dismissed it as \u201can old man in acid-washed shorts badly lip-sync[ing] his way through a pre-taped\u201d performance.
