Corrosion of Conformity<\/strong> have announced a new double album, Good God \/ Baad Man<\/a><\/em> which will be out April 3 via Nuclear Blast (pre-order on vinyl<\/a>). It\u2019s their first album in seven years and first since drummer Reed Mullin died in 2020<\/a>. With new drummer Stanton Moore (who played on 2005\u2019s In the Arms of God<\/em>) and bassist Bobby Landgraf replacing Mike Dean, longtime members Pepper Keenan and Woody Weathermen<\/span>\u00a0made it with producer Warren Riker and it features appearances from Ministry<\/strong>\u2018s Al Jourgensen<\/strong> and Madonna guitarist Monte Pittman<\/strong> (who has also played in Ministry and Prong).<\/p>\n \u201cOur producer, Warren Riker, kept calling it Dark Side Of The Doom,\u201d says guitarists\/vocalist Pepper Keenan. \u201cIn my head, it\u2019s a weird love letter to all things rock \u2018n\u2019 roll. We used that for the freedom to go in different directions. Each album is its own tiny universe and has its own identity. Good God<\/em> leans toward the heavier\/pissed end of the spectrum. Baad Man<\/em> is more on the throwdown rock scope. As we went along, it became clear which songs went on which album.\u201d<\/p>\n Jorgensen and Pittman are both on the album\u2019s first single, \u201cGimme Some Moore.\u201d Pepper says, \u201cMe and Woody wanted to write a song as if we were 17 years old again.\u201d You can listen below.<\/span><\/p>\n COC will be on tour this spring, including dates along the way with Whores, Clutch, Butthole Surfers JD Pinkus<\/strong>, and Crobot.
