Charley Crockett has put his support behind Bad Bunny after Donald Trump attempted to discredit his halftime show.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, February 8, the Grammy Award-winning singer gave a legendary performance at Super Bowl LX<\/a>, bringing his culture to center field with Puerto Rican mementos, fellow Hispanic artists, and the first-ever Spanish-language set, featuring hit singles like Tit\u00ed Me Pregunt\u00f3.<\/p>\n Despite smashing the record for the most-watched Super Bowl<\/a> halftime show with 135.4 million views, the U.S. president<\/a> was left unimpressed by the production. On his Truth Social account, he called it “absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER!”<\/p>\n It further stated it \u201cmade no sense\u201d and was \u201can affront to the Greatness of America.\u201d<\/p>\n Before continuing on praising his own successes, he called Bad Bunny\u2019s set a \u201c\u2018slap in the face\u2019 to our Country.\u201d<\/p>\n After watching the show and hearing Trump\u2019s reaction, Crockett took to Instagram with his own response. However, his comments were more about his disapproval of the president than of the halftime show.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cThat type of thinking isn\u2019t freedom,\u201d he added. \u201cIt\u2019s mental slavery.\u201d<\/p>\n Crockett\u2019s comments come after Trump and several other conservatives showed their discontent with Bad Bunny\u2019s halftime show.<\/p>\n Kid Rock, who headlined Turning Point USA\u2019s “All-American Halftime Show,\u201d said it wasn\u2019t his \u201ccup of tea,\u201d while Megyn Kelly called it \u201ca middle finger to America.\u201d<\/p>\n Trump and many other right-wingers have slammed the NFL ever since Bad Bunny was announced as the headliner last September.<\/p>\n
