First, this sequel won\u2019t be anything like the ensemble show we\u2019ve grown to love. Instead of following the original six main characters\u2014Blair, Serena<\/a>, Dan, Nate, Chuck, and Jenny\u2014the story will focus mainly on one: Blair. <\/p>\n

Second, this sequel is coming in book form. Earlier this month, Deadline<\/em> reported that the new standalone novel, titled Blair<\/em>, has been sold.<\/p>\n

So what\u2019s it about? Blair<\/em> picks up 20 years after the original bestselling Gossip Girl<\/em> series. “Think Blair Waldorf in her 40s…as she returns to the Big Apple to climb her way back to the top of Upper East Side food chain,” the outlet reports.<\/p>\n

My thoughts? Honestly, I\u2019m here for it. I started reading the series in middle school, long before it became one of the CW\u2019s flagship shows and I can\u2019t wait to see Blair\u2019s story continue. <\/p>\n

And (hopefully) the novel will eventually become a new series as well, which will give them a chance to bring back Leighton Meester<\/a>, the actress who first brought Blair to life on screen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
