Performance rights collection organization SoundExchange<\/a> has added 17 new agreements with collective management organizations worldwide in recent months, extending its coverage to more than 91% of the global neighboring rights market, according to the organization.<\/p>\n

The expansion includes new partnerships in Kenya<\/b>, Barbados<\/b>, Panama<\/b>, Paraguay<\/b>, and several European territories, bringing SoundExchange\u2019s total portfolio to over 90<\/b> agreements with international CMOs, according to an announcement.<\/p>\n

The organization now represents nearly 500,000<\/b> artists and rights owners for international royalty collection.<\/p>\n

Most agreements were finalized in 2025, with rights owner pacts signed in the second half of the year with Barbados\u2019 Copyright Society of Composers Authors & Publishers<\/b> (COSCAP), Paraguay\u2019s Sociedad de Gesti\u00f3n de Productores Fonogr\u00e1ficos del Paraguay<\/b> (SGP), and the Kenya Association of Music Producers <\/b>(KAMP).<\/p>\n

In early 2026, SoundExchange completed performer agreements with Kenya\u2019s KAMP and Norway\u2019s Gramo.<\/p>\n

SoundExchange operates as the sole organization designated by the US government to administer the Section 114 sound recording license. Since 2003, it has collected and distributed more than $12 billion<\/b> <\/a>in digital performance royalties to over 800,000<\/b> music creators. The milestone came less than a year after SoundExchange\u2019s payouts passed the\u00a0$11 billion<\/b>\u00a0mark in 2024.<\/p>\n

The organization says it promotes its administration rate as among the lowest of comparable neighboring rights organizations. Registered performers and rights owners can access international services through the SX Direct<\/b> portal, selecting global collection or choosing individual countries.<\/p>\n

SoundExchange\u2019s recent international performer agreements span Norway (Gramo<\/b>), Kenya (Kenya Association of Music Producers<\/b>), Switzerland (SwissPerform<\/b>), Poland (Stowarzyszenie<\/b> Artyst\u00f3w<\/b> Wykonawc\u00f3w<\/b>), the Netherlands (Collective Management Organisation for the Neighbouring Rights of Performing Artists<\/b>), India (Indian Singers\u2019 and Musicians\u2019 Rights Association<\/b>), Lithuania (Lietuvos Gretutini\u0173 Teisi\u0173 Asociacija<\/b>), Croatia (Hrvatska Udruga Za Za\u0161titu Izvoda\u010dkih Prava<\/b>), Czech Republic (Intergram<\/b>), and Austria (Linz AG Strom GmbH<\/b>).<\/p>\n
