Kid Rock has just announced he is embarking on a ten-date spring tour to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In a new update on social media, Kid Rock declared that his tour is “using Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange to keep tickets in the hands of real fans – not scalpers.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

He revealed a strict set of rules which means tickets can only be resold for the original price paid, including fees and taxes, with no markups allowed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Rock said if a fan who purchased a ticket can no longer attend the show, they can resell it – but only on Ticketmaster, which doesn’t charge any fees to resell or purchase resold tickets.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

His set of rules also says that in order to stop tickets from being sold on other sites for profit, transfer is turned off in most places.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He also added, “If you buy on any other site, there is no guarantee you’ll get in the door – and most likely you won’t.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Rock, however, pointed out that some states, like Illinois, don’t allow artists like him to restrict sale, meaning ticket transfer has to stay on, even though Ticketmaster will still keep prices at face value on its site.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He added, “This isn’t perfect, but it’s a real step to shut down scalpers and protect fans.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“No extra cost to fans – same tickets, same prices, just fairer access.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“Bottom line: buy tickets, go to the show, and if plans change, sell them the right way so another fan gets in.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The Live Nation-promoted tour will kick off in Dallas, Texas, on May 1, with dates scheduled in Raleigh, North Carolina, Charlotte, North Carolina, St. Louis, Missouri, Tinley Park, Illinois, Tampa, Florida<\/a>, Holmdel, New Jersey, Mansfield, Massachusetts, and Noblesville, Indiana, throughout May and June.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The final date will be in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, on June 20. The artists supporting Rock on some of the dates are Brantley Gilbert, Parker McCollum, Jon Pardi, Big & Rich and Them Dirty Roses.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

After his announcement, which came days after Rock’s performance at Turning Point USA’s alternative Super Bowl performance, a fan praised Rock, saying on Instagram, “Sounds like a great step in the right direction!”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Another wrote, “God Bless you for your AMAZING HALF TIME SHOW!! and for doing what you can to deal with Ticketmaster !!
Love you and your music! Keep it up!”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
