Prince Harry had to fight to hold back<\/a> the tears as he delivered an emotional impromptu speech. The Duke of Sussex<\/a> met with bereaved families who have launched a legal challenge against some of the biggest tech companies after losing a loved one.<\/p>\n

It came as parents gathered in Los Angeles after the start of the landmark trial, which will examine both Instagram<\/a> and YouTube<\/a> and if they are detrimental to young people’s mental health. The families say the social media sites are addictive by design – claims lawyers for Meta, which owns the platforms, reject. As he spoke to parents, Harry’s voice cracked<\/a>, and he held back the tears as he told them: “None of you should be here. Thank you for doing everything that you’ve done.<\/p>\n
