However, they sent a follow-up, worrying they were “not being taken seriously.” They further explained that the message was their final attempt to lend a hand.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The source expressed fear over retaliation. Plus, they worried that law enforcement might make some wrong assumptions and they’d end up “incriminated like that Carlos [the deliveryman who was detained and released] guy.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While the original deal from local law enforcement was $2,500, the feds upped the ante when they stepped in.
