Today, Yorkshire trio FloodHounds<\/strong> share their brand new music video for their latest single \u2018Black & Blue\u2019.<\/em><\/strong> The track, which has become a firm fan favourite since its initial release back in September 2025, showcases the band at their fuzzy, foot stomping finest.<\/p>\n An admission of uncertainty, \u2018Black & Blue\u2019 <\/em><\/strong>captures the volatile space between falling apart and reaching out. It reaches a raw surge of adrenaline that hits when you\u2019re exhausted by the world, yet still find the spark to swing back. Characterised by FloodHounds signature fuzz-pot bluesy rock attitude, the song is bursting with charming punk snarl attitude from the moment you hit play. A seamless fit for their existing discography, \u2018Black & Blue\u2019<\/em><\/strong> is up there with the band\u2019s best yet.<\/p>\n Speaking about the track, frontman Jack Flynn<\/strong> shares:<\/p>\n \u00a0\u201cBlack & Blue is a song about being floored by something you didn\u2019t see coming. The feeling of being knocked back and left reeling, when you can\u2019t quite make sense of what\u2019s just happened. The lyrics circle around that frustration, asking why you feel so defeated but not really getting an answer. It\u2019s the sound of grappling with someone or something else\u2019s impact on you, that sense of being bruised in the aftermath but still running on adrenaline.<\/em>\u201d <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n From winning BBC Introducing<\/strong> slots at Tramlines<\/strong> to playing iconic venues in Paris, FloodHounds have spent years sharpening their edge alongside bands like Kid Kapichi<\/strong>, The Family Rain, The Blinders, PINS, Projector, King Nun, Strange Bones, and Calva Louise<\/strong> across the UK<\/p>\n Having emerged from the studio with a stack of new tracks produced by Gavin Monaghan<\/strong> (Kid Kapichi, The Blinders). With support from Apple Music<\/strong>, Amazon Music<\/strong>, and BBC Radio, the band is currently sitting on their strongest material to date.<\/p>\n FloodHounds\u2019 have even made it global, when a group of Japanese actors and filmmakers independently created their own music video for the band\u2019s track \u2018Quicksand<\/strong>.\u2019<\/em> This new music video though is the sole creation of frontman Jack, who shares:<\/p>\n \u201cWe shot all of this ourselves, just on a phone and zero budget.
