Th political commentator, 36, and her husband Justin Griffin welcomed their first child together, a baby boy, late Tuesday evening, she announced. In an Instagram story posted Wednesday morning, Farah Griffin shared news that she gave birth to son Justin Patrick Griffin Jr.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are so overjoyed and so grateful for all the well wishes,\u201d she said in her post.\u201d Though her post did not reveal additional information about the newborn, her \u201cThe View\u201d co-host Whoopi Goldberg had that part covered. <\/p>\n
At the beginning of Wednesday\u2019s broadcast<\/a>, Goldberg congratulated her co-star and said the baby boy was 7 pounds and measured 19 1\/2 inches, eliciting cheers from the in-studio audience. Goldberg added that Farah Griffin and her newborn are both doing well, while co-host Joy Behar asked for more fanfare.<\/p>\n \u201cWhere\u2019s the confetti? After praising the Grammy winner\u2019s \u201cexcellent performance,\u201d Farah Griffin recalled thinking the energetic spectacle \u2014 a celebration of the Latin community \u2014 would induce labor. <\/p>\n Turns out she wasn\u2019t entirely wrong. A day later, Goldberg announced<\/a> during Tuesday\u2019s broadcast that Farah Griffin would be absent from the desk. \u201cIt put her into labor! She\u2019s at the hospital right now,\u201d Goldberg said. <\/p>\n
