Nevermore<\/strong>\u2018s new lineup has officially been announced. Guitarist Jeff Loomis<\/strong> and drummer Van Williams<\/strong> chose to relaunch the group in late 2024, embarking on a search for musicians to replace their late vocalist Warrel Dane<\/strong> and estranged bassist Jim Sheppard<\/strong>. While the duo noted last May they had found their men<\/a>, it is today, February 12th, that they have finally pulled back the curtain.<\/p>\n Newly joining the progressive metal outfit on vocals is Berzan \u00d6nen<\/strong> (Inner Urge<\/strong>, My Torment<\/strong>, etc.), guitarist Jack Cattoi<\/strong> and bassist Semir \u00d6zerka<\/strong> (Oceans of Slumber<\/strong>, Necrofier<\/strong>, etc.). In a joint statement, Loomis<\/strong> and Van Williams<\/strong> had the following to say of this resurrection of the band and their signing with Reigning Phoenix Music<\/strong>:<\/p>\n \u201cWe are thrilled to announce that Nevermore<\/strong> has officially signed with Reigning Phoenix Music<\/strong>! It was obvious from the start that they were the perfect partner for the new era of Nevermore<\/strong>. Their passion for metal music combined with the extensive industry pedigree of their team made the choice easy. We can\u2019t wait to get back on stage in front of our fans in Istanbul on April 1st, and we are just as excited to finish writing and putting together the new Nevermore<\/strong> album!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n A new documentary film focused on the band and their comeback with this new roster was directed and produced by Ola Englund<\/strong> (The Haunted<\/strong>). It also showcases rehearsal sessions, including performances of \u201cThe River Dragon Has Come<\/strong>\u201c, \u201cEngines Of Hate<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cThe Heart Collector<\/strong>\u201c, filmed in January of this year.<\/p>\n When it came to new music, Williams<\/strong> shared the following tease of what\u2019s to come: \u201cIf the new music had to be described by one word, that would have to be delicious. Because it\u2019s so good it\u2019s gonna leave you hungry for more.\u201d<\/p>\n As for recruiting Berzan<\/strong>, Loomis<\/strong> stated:<\/p>\n \u201cHe really stood out strong in so many ways upon a first listen. I could really feel the emotion and passion when I heard him sing for the first time. He wasn\u2019t just going through the motions. I could tell right away that he was a fan of Warrel<\/strong>\u2018s singing just by the way he delivered and said certain words. I was really blown away at first watch.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The band\u2019s first show back will take place April 01st at the IF Performance Hall Besiktas in Istanbul, Turkey.<\/p>\n\n
