Filmmaker Karan Johar has praised actors Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav\u2019s latest film, Tu Ya Main, following its release in cinemas on February 13. In a recent Instagram post, Johar commended the cast and crew for their work on this new survival thriller.<\/p>\n

Johar described Tu Ya Main as an intense film that left a lasting impression on him even after it ended. He joked it\u2019ll make you fear crocodiles everywhere, even in Mumbai traffic.<\/p>\n

\u2018No cardio needed\u2019<\/h3>\n

In his Instagram post, the 53-year-old wrote, “NO CARDIO NEEDED! You will physically jump out of your seats, right through the second half of this traumatising ( in the best way possible ) survival croc edge of the seater! Swimming pools will never be the same for me again. NEVER (sic)!”<\/p>\n

Valentine\u2019s Day warning for couples<\/h3>\n

He addressed audiences, considering plans for Valentine’s Day, as an option for couples. Johar wrote, “And if you happen to have a partner this Valentine.. take them to watch #tuyamain and tell them to wear armour because you will clutch onto them in FEAR!!!! I am still stressed, and the film got over 30 minutes ago! I feel like a crocodile may appear even in the middle of Mumbai traffic and attack me ( I am dramatic, I know, but this film has made me take an extra dose of my BP meds) (sic).”<\/p>\n

Karan Johar praises Bejoy Nambiar\u2019s direction<\/h3>\n

The filmmaker attributed much of the film’s effectiveness to its director, stating, “Kudos to @bejoynambiar for keeping the tension alive with solid craft and technical excellence (sic).”<\/p>\n

Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav earn special mention<\/h3>\n

He also commented on the performances of the lead cast<\/a>, saying, “@shanayakapoor02 so proud of your choices and for your assured, hugely convincing performance and playing Miss Vanity and Miss Insanity ( when the going gets scary and relentless) to perfection! Love you! (sic)”<\/p>\n

Johar extended further praise to Gaurav Adarsh, stating, “@gouravadarsh you are JUST BRILLIANT as the Gullly boy and as the traumatised victim of the croc attack! I felt every inch of your FEAR!!! Badhai ho (sic).”<\/p>\n

Producers also get a shoutout<\/h3>\n

The production team also received recognition, with Johar remarking, “@aanandlrai for backing and producing this cracker of a clutter breaker! @vinod.bhanushali congratulations! A MUST-WATCH IN THE CINEMAS!!! (sic).”<\/p>\n

The film\u2019s release on February 13 <\/a>saw it go head-to-head at the box office with Shahid Kapoor’s O Romeo.<\/p>\n
